Mr. Ellis is friendly and actually listens to what I say! He doesn't treat me like a geriatric idiot, like some in the medical profession tend to do. He is very efficient in his injecting skills, so that one feels comfortable just letting him get on with it.

I’m giving Mr Ellis five glowing stars in every sector. First of all a few years ago he did operate on my right knee and I’ve never had a problem since so that is the first and most important thing! I’ve done a lot of sport in the past and sadly worn my knees out and I recently have been to see him in December 2021 regarding my left knee. Simon is a fantastic listener and hugely professional and went overboard to listen to me and make me feel at ease. He is a refreshingly intelligent man and shame there is never enough time, but I could talk to him for hours about just about any subject and he comes back with interest and contribution.. I would recommend Mr Ellis hands down for any type of knee problem he is one of the best in the field - he’s also very complimentary of his peers as well and works well within all the hospitals and has a good network of people behind him to organise appointments and so on Simon Ellis makes pain in the knee as painless as possible! I can’t say I look forward to seeing him as that would mean I would have knee pain but if there’s anyone I’m going to see it would always be him.

I had my first consultation with Mr Ellis at Kims Maidstone and found him very sympathetic. He listened to all I had to say and talked me through the various ways to go forward. I had in mind the Nstride injection for my moderate knee arthritis and after discussion and a gentle examination it was agreed I was a suitable candidate. I attended One Ashford Hospital on the 9th December for this procedure for which my husband was allowed to accompany me. I was treated with care and kindness and throughout from both Mr Ellis and his nurse. Every step was explained, including possible side effects and aftercare. The whole virtually painless procedure was completed in around an hour. All that remains now is to wait a few weeks and hope for this treatment to work it's magic. A follow up appointment has been booked for February.

HIs bedside manner is very good. He telephoned my Wife soon after the operation to assure her all went well, which was kind of him. He does take an interest in you as a person and listens to any problems or worries and answers any questions or queries you may have. He is never in a rush.
